Not only is the African-American community on the Internet but, this is an intelligent, affluent group with substantial purchasing power and willingness to engage in e-commerce.
The African-American demographic is the fastest growing online groups. There are approximately 10 million African-Americans online, representing about 12% of the total U.S. online population.
75% have an annual household income of more than $32,000 (US).
22% of households earn more than $72,000 (US) annually.
60% graduated or attended college.
73% are between ages 18 and 40.
58% are women.
42% are men.
35% purchased something on the Internet last year!
